This is a perfect enemies to lovers story. It is well written and has a good plotline. It was fast paced; at times it felt even a bit rushed, but it didn’t ruin the story. It is not instanteously from hate to love, but it is a gradual slide towards each other. Along the way they grow even closer as they have to work together to deal with some unexpected individuals.
The characters are well developed. At first Owen is painted as the proverbial rich spoiled brat, who does nothing but spending his father’s money. Soon it becomes clear that there are more layers under the surface and that there are certainly enough reasons to justify his behavior. The best part is that you see him changing into a strongwilled, but affable man.
It has everything to do with being with Garret. He is professional, loyal and a born protector. He is man enough to acknowledge his faults and take action to right his wrongs. Garret brings out the best in Owen, he believes in him and supports him.
I don’t have anything nice to say about Owen’s father. He is the one who has a lot of growing up to do.
This book is a quick and easy read with enough surprises to keep you entertained.

Owen and Garret shared a passionate encounter that ended with Garret learning Owen is his boss' son. Fast forward to threats against Owen and his parents so Garret goes to protect Owen. Sparks fly but their hatred of each other stands in the way. The spoiled rich kid and the bodyguard fall for each other but is everything as it seems. Sexy read with a little drama thrown in.
This was an enjoyable read. The writer has given you just enough angst and mystery without it drowning the storyline. Owen is a sweet man and you can't help but feel protective of. Which is why Garrett doesn't take long to reevaluate his preconceived ideas about Owen and become his protector in more ways than one. I loved the dynamics between the two men and the heat level was sizzling. Worth the read.
The premise of a bodyguard and his client getting together and falling in love is one that I particularily enjoy. The book is well written from a descriptive point of view. I could visualize the scenes and the characters but the thoughts and emotions were too black and white. I like to read about the shades or gray that characters move through in a situation or relationship.
There were no “I'm only human” moments. Everything that they did was done well on the first try. I want to see them burn the eggs, or drop something on their toes.
The story line was good but I just couldn't connect with the characters, but I did enjoy the spicy scenes.

So I was rather surprised that I liked this story. When I started reading the book and the mc Garrett was referred to as 'Garrett' and 'Garret' I knew it was going to bug me. It continued throughout the book. There were a lot of little, picky mistakes like that. But also other writing problems like this one "He sat down at the small, linoleum table and poured himself a coffee." I picture things when I am reading. I don't think people sit and then pour their coffee. No one has the coffee pot on the table. People pour their coffee and then sit. There were other instances like this. You can get through them and still enjoy the plot, but it is bothersome.
Both of these MCs are likable. The plot is a little ridiculous and at one point 'threats' to the MC were suddenly coming from multiple places which felt kind of fake. Still, this book didn't take long to read and it was entertaining enough.
Quick read, with little depth to plot. Very much Insta love. Needs more depth of character to realy be enjoyable.
I enjoyed this story, I loved the characters of Garrett, and Owen. This story was well written with a good storyline. The only problem was it was too short.

Met, had sex, and then a misunderstanding led to them hating each other. Against his better judgment, Garrett agrees to protect Owen from harm. A great enemies to lovers story, Garrett spirits Owen away to his cabin in the woods to help keep him safe. The book delves into the growth and maturity of Owen's character and the relationship that he forges with Garrett. The plot is superb and fast paced. I quite enjoyed this book and look forward to more from these two authors.
